Threat Mod Con San Francisco
The conference that helped set CyberSec Games in motion.
ThreatModCon San Francisco was one of our first conference experiences and a defining moment in the CyberSec Games story.
We arrived as Agile Stationery with a retail booth showcasing our growing collection of threat modelling games and tools. The response from delegates was fantastic, with people stopping by to explore the products, share ideas and talk about how games could support security learning within their own teams.
The event also gave us the opportunity to meet some of the experts behind the games, including Adam Shostack, creator of Elevation of Privilege, and Kim Wuyts, co-creator of LINDDUN GO. We also joined a lively demonstration of Byte Club, seeing first-hand how gameplay could make conversations about real-world cyber threats and defences more accessible and engaging.
More than anything, the event showed us the value of bringing these products, creators and communities together. Soon afterwards, we launched CyberSec Games as the sister brand of Agile Stationery, and began taking our games from one conference to the next.
