Who are we?

We’re Simon and Devika, a husband-and-wife team with a thing for solving problems (and occasionally, zombies).

We look at how people work, spot what is getting in the way and find practical ways to make things better.

First we brought you Agile Stationery, now we're raising the bar for cybersecurity gamers.

It started with an index card

Before CyberSec Games, there was Agile Stationery.

Simon, the engineer in our partnership, was working with an Agile development team when he noticed that the cards on their Kanban board were difficult to read, easily damaged and not structured around the information teams actually needed.

That problem led to a better card. The first concept was sketched on a hotel napkin during a weekend away, then developed into the original Agile Stationery prototype, and established an approach we still follow today.

Then we discovered cybersecurity games

As we explored tools used by technical teams, we discovered cybersecurity games designed to solve specific problems.

Adam Shostack’s Elevation of Privilege game showed how games could help engineers share knowledge, uncover risks and carry out threat modelling

More importantly, teams wanted to use them.

We found a growing community of security specialists, educators and designers creating practical ways to tackle complex cybersecurity challenges. One game led to another, and CyberSec Games began to take shape.

Games that make useful things happen

Today, CyberSec Games brings together practical games, passionate creators and workplace teams.

Some games help people learn. Some encourage a new mindset. Others help teams identify risks, make decisions, build trust or produce a concrete piece of work, creating value that continues beyond the game itself.

We support creators in bringing their ideas to life and help organisations use them in real working environments.

Our ambition is to make cybersecurity more collaborative, more accessible and more human, one game, one conversation and one better outcome at a time.

Meet Simon and Devika

Simon brings the perspective of a software engineer. He understands how technical teams work and has a habit of questioning tools and processes that could work better.

Devika brings commercial judgement, operational experience and a talent for bringing clarity to complicated situations. She turns ideas into sustainable products, partnerships and businesses.

Together, we combine technical curiosity with practical delivery.

We also remain enthusiastic about space exploration, crime dramas and preparing for the occasional zombie apocalypse.

  • Code Wrangler, Space Nerd and Engineer

With over 20 years as a developer, Simon’s worked across startups, corporates, and everything in between. His journey through different industries and varied tech stacks has taught him how to navigate complexity with creativity.

When he’s not working, you’ll find him watching rocket launches, plotting a zombie apocalypse strategy, or deep in a board game.

  • Finance Strategist, Crime Drama Addict, and Problem-Solver

Devika is a qualified accountant with experience leading high-stakes projects. She’s handled market-sensitive communications, fixed tangled international operations, and always brings calm clarity to complex challenges.

Her hobbies? Zombies (obviously), gritty crime dramas, and any game where there’s a puzzle to crack or a win to claim.
